Joia Traver and her sister, Tiana (everyone calls her Peeka), learned to swim before they could walk. They swim for the Mountain Home swim team and have competed in the Junior Olympics for three years so far. Joia, 13, grew up on Lake Norfork and enjoys everything about being on, and under, the water. She has snorkeled in Costa Rica, the Bahamas, and Cozumel.
