Cindy Young is employed with Sanderson Farms, Inc. in Laurel, MS, where she works in the Organization Development Department. Previously, she owned and operated The Red Raven Inn Bed and Breakfast in Yellville, AR, following a 25-year career in Human Resources. Traveling internationally as Vice President of Human Resources and Global Social Compliance for Capital Mercury Apparel, Cindy has worked in such places as Bangladesh, India, China, Cambodia, Viet Nam, Nepal, Peru, and all over Central America.
In 2002-2003 Cindy served as National President of the Business and Professional Women (BPW) and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the BPW Foundation. She has been active in a number of local volunteer organizations and enjoys reading, antiquing, acting, and walking (having completed two marathons), and aspires to learn to hand quilt and to play the guitar.
