Vicki Lindsey Garner, a native Arkansan, moved to Mountain Home in July, 1976 with her husband, Phil, and their children, Edie and Jason. In 1978, Vicki opened Plants Alive, a lawn and garden business. When she closed the shop 10 years later, she worked as a counselor for the Department of Human Services and later as a social worker for the MH school district. Today she hosts the Gardening in the Ozarks show with Bob Knight on KTLO FM 97.9 from 10 to 11 on Saturdays.
