Favorite bodies of water in the Ozarks: Bull Shoals Lake, the White River, and the Buffalo River.
Favorite spot for a picnic: A gravel bar or sand bar on the Buffalo River.
Evening outdoor activity: Finding a spot anywhere in the Ozarks to watch some of the most spectacular sunsets I have seen anywhere in the world.
Way to relax: Take a walk or watch a sunrise or a sunset.
Advice for younger women: Always keep learning about yourself, everyone you meet, and everything around you.
Bedtime ritual: I read!
Way to celebrate a friend: Take them on a float trip or backpacking trip. Talk and share our dreams and thoughts, how we feel and think about life. And sometimes saying nothing at all but sharing the silence.
What I love about February/March: Everything is about to be new all over again.
3 words that describe me: Still figuring it out!
What people might not know about me: I try really hard to appreciate every moment, which is no easy task ALL of the time. I mean seriously, now that’s difficult.
Dream for the future: That we all learn how to get along and quit abusing the planet we call home.
Favorite quote: I am a big fan of quotes, and one of my favorites is from Mary Ann Evans, known by her pen name, George Eliot. She was an English novelist, journalist, and translator, one of the leading writers of the Victorian era. There are several variations of the quote, but I know it as, “It is never too late to be what you might have been.”
